Following our impressive win at Walden we played host to Longstanton this week. Having played each other in a friendly at the end of last season we knew they had several very strong players. We won the toss and decided to field first and have a bowl at the opposition.
We started very strong and bowled very tight and fielded very well. During the innings it was obvious that we had continued where we left off at Walden. Throughout the innings all our bowlers were accurate and bowled with pace. We supported each other in the field and made sure we backed up play. This was the best fielding performance of the year. As a result of all the good work we managed to hold Longstanton to a low score of 89 off 20 overs, conceding only 23 extras.
We started our run chase well with our top order batting with skill and patience. We easily reached the required total with almost 5 overs to spare.

A very impressive result again and the players are starting to play very well together as a Team.

Individual feedback
Rupesh - Co captained extremely well with Elliot again today. Fast becoming a very good opening batsman. Not many runs this time but time spent in the middle was very important.
Sam - Excellent batting with highest team score of 18 not out
Elliot - Valuable batting time in the middle. Becoming far more confident as captain also. Well done and I am pleased with how you are settling in to a new team this year!
Charlie - Great diving catch and 16 quick runs at he end of the innings.
Zach- Again Zach played for the team with excellent fielding and scored the winning runs
Aryan - Bowled extremely well again. Cleaned bowled their best play which proved to be the turning point of the game in my opinion.
Huthayfa - Bowled again a very accurate over with a wicket on the last ball. Accuracy and good length is proving to be a successful combination.
Rhys - An excellent second over and was unlucky not to take a wicket.
Abdullah - Made his first start for the U13s today. Solid bowling and a great attitude shown throughout the match.
Sujey - Excellent bowling again. Only two overs bowled but on reflection should have now had a third. Next time!
Ibby - Fast bowling which opposition are finding hard to deal with.
