U13 Vs Foxton

Again a sunny day greeted us at Lower for our second game of the season. We won the toss and elected to take the field. Foxton batted very well and scored steady throughout the innings. After 15 overs Foxton had posted a total of 106 for 4. Our fielding at times was poor and we must start to communicate better with each other. Bowling was mixed with players needing to put more time into practice as we are still rusty. With better fielding and tighter bowling we could have kept the score under 90 runs!
With a good total to chase we started very well. A new opening partnership of Rupesh and Sam batted with confidence and skill. Communication and running between the wickets was excellent. Rupesh put in a superb captains innings of 30 retired with Sam falling just short with 29. At the back end of the innings Charlie came in and hit a quick fire 15 to win the match. I was again very impressed and proud of how we played the game. Special mention for Aryan with an excellent pair of wickets. Hard to believe he is only 9!

Zach - Great keeping at the back end of the innings. We are very lucky to have three excellent wicket keepers in our squad.
Suyey - The bowling is getting there. Some great balls which showed me that you are close to your best again. Must practice more!
Ibby - 100% effort again. Bowling is fast and accurate. A well deserved wicket in the second over.
Ties - Fielded for both teams and once again showed a great attitude. Year 1 of cricket school is going well!
