In a stunning performance the Cambourne U10s outplayed City of Ely in every department: bowling, fielding and batting.

It was a very windy evening and was not easy to bowl. Mahi was excellent with the ball giving only 3 runs in her two overs and no extras at all. Aryan Patil, our youngest bowler, also starred with the ball. The team showed great spirit, encouraging each other and playing as a team with good fielding.

The target to win was 254 and Max and Nityan got the chase of to a good start and at the end of 3 overs the score was 218, Mahi and Zach consolidated and batted very well of there 3 to get the score up to 240. Over no 7 was a wobble with Ely coming back strong taking three wickets. But Kayleigh and Ethan navigated through the tricky period and at the end of there 3 over stint the score was 249, almost there. After that it was a matter of getting past the total Mayank and Aryan did exactly that and the score stood at 257. Now it was over to Rhys and Fabio to block it out which they did without any hiccups at all showing good cricketing sense.

Well done team Cambourne. U10s are top of there league. Keep it up.
