Great win for Cambourne 3rd XI away at Coton.
We batted first after winning the toss and put up a strong total of 259–6 from 40 overs. Purushotam batted brilliantly for 97, supported really well by Mohammad Hossain with 67 and Ben Coombs with 24. A good late push from Zuraiz and Manish helped us finish strongly.
With the ball, we controlled the game well and restricted Coton to 193–6. Zuraiz and Martin picked up 2 wickets each, with Ghazanfar and Manish taking one each. James also bowled a very tight spell, giving away only 23 runs from his 8 overs.
Coton had one batter carry the innings with 78 not out, but we kept taking wickets at the right times and stayed in control throughout. A strong team performance and a well-deserved 20-point win.
