History was made this Saturday 6th of Sept at the Upper Cambourne Cricket Ground as Cambourne Cricket Club’s U13 Girls triumphed in the inaugural Cambridgeshire Cricket T20 League Cup.

In a thrilling final, Cambourne’s young stars delivered a commanding performance against the Shelfords. Their bowlers shone early, dismissing the opposition for just 64 runs, thanks to sharp fielding and disciplined bowling. With the crowd behind them, Cambourne chased down the target in emphatic fashion—reaching the total in just 10 overs to seal victory.

The win was a true team effort, showcasing the depth of talent across the squad. Coaches, parents, and supporters were in full voice, creating an unforgettable atmosphere as the girls lifted the first-ever T20 League Cup trophy.

Special thanks go to the Cambridgeshire Cricket Association for selecting Cambourne CC as hosts for the competition. Having the final played on home turf at Upper Cambourne made the day even more memorable for players and supporters alike.
