Awards will now be presented at the AGM to be arranged early in the new year.

Dads V Lads

Event Date:
September 12, 2009 - 12:00 - 19:00

On Saturday 12th September there will be a charity match at the ground in Lower Cambourne in an effort to raise money for the children at the main secondary school in Maputo, Mozambique where I will be visiting as part of a trip that I will be taking part on later this year. We are trying to make the day a family affair pitching Dads/Uncles/Brothers against Lads/Nephews/Brothers to spice up the rivalry and competitive spirit! If you would like to take part please contact me on sam9millerathotmail [dot] com by this Sunday the 6th September.

There will be cake stalls, raffles and refreshments on offer so it promises to be a good fun day out for all. Even if you can't play in the game itself, all club members, their friends and their family are encouraged to come along to spectate and help make the day a success.

Thanks Sam

Thanks to everyone who turned up for the Club Day, I'm sure you will all agree that it was all good fun - especially if you are a batsman. A special well done to Cookie who managed to score 60 odd runs in just 20 something balls, pummelling Bender's team all over the pitch. Some of the pictures can be found here.

Friendly vs Cambridge Building Society

Friendly, social and fundraising game against the Cambridge Building Society.

Club Day 2009

As usual Cambourne will be organising an inter-club game(s) to kick the season off and give all of our players a bit of match practice before we kick off the season for real the following weekend. Marc Crawford has come up with the following 2 proposals, we are currently deciding which one to choose.

Natwest Cricket Force 2009

Natwest Cricket Force

NatWest CricketForce encourages cricket supporters, their friends and families to give something back to their local community cricket club by volunteering to undertake major renovations to clubhouses and grounds. Cambourne Cricket Club have taken this opportunity in the past few seasons by putting together work parties to undertake such jobs as preparing the pavilion for the new season, putting up the cricket frame and net and running some training drills which have been very successful.
