Open Letter To CCC's Members

To The Members of Cambourne Cricket Club

After 5 fantastic years, it is with regret that I am announcing my resignation from the committee as secretary of Cambourne Cricket Club. I will cease all responsibilities as secretary when a replacement has been found, on the date of the AGM or 31st January 2011, whatever comes first.

Having moved out of Cambourne and with the commitments of raising a new family, I have been unable to play games, come to training and attend meetings regularly and this has made it difficult to fulfil my role as secretary and play cricket. This is the reason I have decided to step down.

WANTED .. Players For Friendly Against Royston CC (Sunday 1st August)

Cambourne III vs Granta Vs Conceeded By opposition

In what is proving to be an incredibly frustrating season for the 3rd team, yet another game has been conceeded by the opposition. This means that there will be no 3rd team game against Cambridge Granta Vs this weekend. If there is sufficient availability and the 2nd pitch is free then a friendly vs IP Access may be organised so please still make the captains aware if you would like a game. In addition, there is a fundraising friendly vs Cambridge Building Society this Sunday, please let Chris Threadgold know if you would like to be considered for selection on 07710 623028 or c [dot] threadgoldatdbcfoodservice [dot] co [dot] uk .

The 2010 Season Starts Now!

A reminder if anyone needs it that the season starts for real on Saturday 1st May with all three adult teams in action, competing in the CCA's Junior leagues. Having secured promotion to Division 1, Paul Cooke will be stand in captain for the first game of the season in Mark's absence as the 1sts travel to the picturesque ground at Cokenach. Peter Lee's seconds begin with a now familiar trip to local rivals Elsworth and will be looking to get the side off to a solid start towards their aim of securing promotion this season.

Training Videos Available Online

For those of you that came along to nets this morning, I've put together a 15 minute montage of all the clips so you assess your technique. Of course the real reason is that I just wanted to play with my new camcorder and especially the funky slow motion mode, but hopefully its of some use to you as well.
