Thirds come up short against Babraham

In between some showers of rain, the threes showed grit and determination in our attempt to chase down Babraham’s total of 182. The final-wicket partnership of Aditya and Neil took inspiration from Joe Root and Jimmy Anderson at Trent Bridge, with both batsmen holding on for the finish and pushing the score slowly upwards. But it was not to be, we ended up 40 runs short, but with pride intact.

Brilliant Bowlers Build on Belligerent Batting

CCA Junior 1 (South): Royston 1st XI vs Cambourne 1st XI

The league table was turned upside down as Cambourne turned over a high-flying Royston side to secure an impressive victory with a side comprising 1st, 2nd and 3rd teamers!

On a scorching hot afternoon, skipper Liam Healy made a great call by opting to bat, on winning the toss. He then set about Royston's pace attack with some scorchingly hot drives - ably assisted by a similarly positive Temoor Khan.
