A level-headed show from the colts under serious pressure (mainly generated by lacklustre performance from the more ‘experienced’ players), brought the threes a win over Sawston and Babraham IV in a nail-biter of a match.
Skipper Graham won the toss and handed the new ball to Waqas, who set the tone with a maiden first over. His trademark metronomic line and length, and tricksy swing, troubled the batsmen from the off. He was soon rewarded with a wicket – Steven taking a lightning low-down catch behind the stumps.
