We shall fight on the Waterbeaches ..

.. and so on the 10th day of July in the year of our Lord 2010 Cambourne 3s fought with valour and secured the beaches for the 2nd and final time this season.

Jonny lost his 7th consecutive toss but was surprised that Waterbeach elected to field first in what was 30 degree heat.

Team Selection Saturday 03rd July

Guess what, Yet again only 2 sides are playing this weekend and I’m afraid to say there are a lot of players who have had to miss out so apologies for that.

Cambourne III vs Granta Vs Conceeded By opposition

In what is proving to be an incredibly frustrating season for the 3rd team, yet another game has been conceeded by the opposition. This means that there will be no 3rd team game against Cambridge Granta Vs this weekend. If there is sufficient availability and the 2nd pitch is free then a friendly vs IP Access may be organised so please still make the captains aware if you would like a game. In addition, there is a fundraising friendly vs Cambridge Building Society this Sunday, please let Chris Threadgold know if you would like to be considered for selection on 07710 623028 or c [dot] threadgoldatdbcfoodservice [dot] co [dot] uk .

IPACCESS beats Cambourne CC in T20 on Sunday

It was a brilliant sunny day for a T20 game. Sanjay Alladwar’s 10 men v/s Danny White’s 11 Men. Sanjay won the toss and decided to bat on a reasonably good batting track. Santosh and Mohit opened the innings for IPACCESS. Hayworth bowled superbly and got Santosh bowled for a duck. Vinod replaced him but he was soon bowled by a chileya’s magic in-swinger. Ipaccess was in deep trouble after losing its two star batsmen and then came big Honey Sarao.

Casey shows his class as Cambourne edge a thriller.

The hottest weekend of the year so far was the setting for the home leg of the Cambourne-Bar hill double header with both 2nd IX outfits eager to extend their recent good form.

Cambourne Roll On

DB

Cambourne 1st XI chalked up their third successive league victory with a win away against Bar Hill. Marc Crawford lost the toss and Cambourne were put into bat, on the hottest day of the year. Crawford (2) was the first to depart, after he was bowled around his legs by an inswinging delivery. Bar Hill were clearly briefed on Paul Cooke, and immediately posted their field to all corners of their outfield. Cooke looked in cracking form, hitting the ball on the offside to the frustration of the legside field.
