Looks like we may have (at last) found a replacement for Alec Stewart after too many years without a wicket-keeper/batsmen that we can rely on for consistancy.
Note for Pepe, yeah, he wasn't perfect with the gloves and he was prone to swing the bat like you too much, but you haven't had a Geriant rant for a month or two, so thought I'd offer you the chance
No no... i disagree... for the first time since jones, england may have found a keeper worth keeping....i dont mind the keeper not being consistant as long as his score the runs when his team really needs him too, ie....Jones at Trent Bridge in 2005.... and a very similar knock from tim ambrose in the second test against New Zealand.
Jones Is Clearly the best keeper/batsmen in england, it wont be long till he returns...im thinking ashes 2009.
I wonder how he will perform (and the rest of the team for that matter) when we play a proper test team...
  Theres 3 reasons why tim likes him....
1)the have same first name
2) Ambrose sounds like Ambrosia.....tims favorite custard with all his PIES.
3)Same hairdo. :)
HEHE.
jones Rules...Period.

Hey, at least I have a proper hairdo (in fact a proper wicketkeeping hairdo) unlike some other (so-called) members of the profession. Can't believe you actually pay for that one :D :D :D
PS NEVER have custard with me steak and kidney

I'm so disappointed Peps, I thought you were being original and then realised you nicked your Ambrosia remark off the barmy army:

"We've got Tim Ambrose,
Sounds Like Ambrosia
They make good Custard, comes in a tin
They make good rice too,
Thats not important
Just as long as England win"
The Barmy Army's new Tim Ambrose song.
Haha, i give you that, but the other two STILL apply !
