Cambourne Cricket Club are pleased to announce that 3 senior teams have been entered into the CCA league for 2009. The club took the decision to enter a 3rd XI based on expected member growth over the winter and a presumption that the second ground will be delivered as scheduled next spring. In addition to entering the Lower Junior Cup the club have also entered the Cambridge News 20/20 Walker Cup to provide players with an alternative format of the game on Sundays which may suit some people better than the 40 over format.

In order to fulfil our fixture list, the club need to recruit at least 7 or 8 new senior players so if you are thinking of taking up cricket in Cambourne then now is the ideal time to do it. To get involved come along to one of our training sessions that are taking place throughout the winter which begin on 21st October at Fenners in Cambridge and continue every Tuesday night until April. The club are also planning to expand their Colts section in 2008 with an U10 team to be entered for the first time, complimenting the now well established U15 and U14 sides. A transitional team which is made up of 5 seniors max and the rest U17 will again be entered with games played on Sundays.
