SHARMA AND MILLS SHARE THE GLORY AS CAMBOURNE UNDER 14'S WIN AT HISTON

A five wicket haul by Abhi Sharma showed Cambourne the way in the defeat of Histon by 8 wickets. Sharma shared the glory with Harry Mills who put in a a blistering batting performance with an unbeaten 53. Cambourne put Histon into bat, and they raced to 25 without loss. On came Sharma with the support of Patel and destroyed the Histon batting. Sharmas guile and some unreadable unreadable leg breaks put three batsmen in the pavilion within 10 minutes. Patel varied his pace, and also bowled with deadly accuracy. Histon a reached a total of 73 runs, much due to James Drummond who held the lower Histon batting together who Cambourne could not deceive.

Cambourne batted defiantly and reached 63 runs without loss, with Mills firing on all cylinders, clouting three massive sixes, whilst Dan Threadgold gave good support at the other end. Threadgold went for 14, and allowed Duffy and Patel to come in and finish the batting, reaching Histons total with five overs to spare.

Sharma finished with an incredible five wickets for eight runs-surely to earn himself plaudits back at the club. Patel was not far behind with three for eight.
